summer and wither grades for oil

To know about Engine oil grades you should get cleared what is viscosity ? Viscosity is the main property of any liquid. For example, Water has very less viscosity has it will flow easily than any other liquid. Edible oil has little bit higher viscosity compared to water has it will not flow equally to water. Likewise Engine oils has higher viscosity than water and oil. So, Viscosity is the important term for an engine oil to give lubrication and lower the friction over moving parts. If we add water or edible oil inside engines which does not has enough viscosity will not lubricate properly and also will increase friction between moving parts. A good engine oil should have high viscous properties in both high and low temperature. It should not loose its viscosity in high temperature and also should not gain it viscosity in lower temperature.

Oil grades explained

For those engine oils have their grade which are given by SAE ( Society of Automobile). These grade has numbers like 10W, 15W, 20W .etc. which indicates the winter temperature ratings, followed by 20, 30, 40 .etc which are rating given by SAE by testing it in 100 degree Celsius. Lower the winter rating, higher the quality and higher the hot temperature rating higher the quality. The best way find the suitable oil grade for your bike is to see user manual, you can use lower winter rating and higher hot temperature rating than recommended. For example, if your manufacturer recommends 10W30 , you can also prefer 5W30 or 5W40 also, but not, 20W30 or 15W20.  Hope you understand the Engine oil Grades and how should choose one for your bike. well, We are waiting to here from you, comment suggestion, request topics. ect. keep in touch.
